Recently, the City Council accepted more than $350,000 in donations from three local non-profit organizations.

Dance the night away this Friday

Dance Dance Evolution, a full-scale, live dance band, will perform some of the biggest hits from the 1970s to today, including disco, funk, pop, rock, R&B and modern dance music, tomorrow night.

"New York Times" bestselling author Lisa See returned to Carlsbad to discuss and celebrate her new novel, "Daughters of the Sun and Moon." A recording of the event is available through July 31.

TGIF returns July 10

Heads up! There will be no TGIF concert this Friday, July 3, to avoid conflicts with any Fourth of July weekend events. The next concert will be at Stagecoach Community Park on Friday, July 10.
