This presentation will guide you through the latest collaborative features between FamilyTreeDNA and WikiTree. You'll learn how to add your WikiTree ID to your FamilyTreeDNA kit, use WikiTree to confirm the most recent shared ancestor with your DNA matches, and get an exciting look at the recently added WikiTree Connections feature in FamilyTreeDNA Discover.
The DNA Interest Group is a partnership program between Carlsbad City Library and the North San Diego County Genealogical Society. This program is designed to educate and inform people about the use of DNA testing for genealogical purposes through lectures on DNA. The DNA Interest Group is open to people who have all levels of computer and genealogy experience.
The program is held the third Saturday of the month from January through November and is presented in person and virtually.
- Doors open at 12:30 p.m. for social time.
- Presentations, including question-and-answer sessions, are held from 1 to 2:30 p.m.
- Breakout discussions and individualized help is usually available until 3 p.m.
