For tweens, ages 9-12 or grades 3rd-6th: Tweens assemble! Ready for some gaming and snacks? Bring your friends and make new friends, meet up with old ones, and enjoy each other's company in a fun, welcoming environment.

The Carlsbad City Library has partnered with ALA and The Pokémon Company International to bring a Pokémon Club to the Dove library.

What is a Pokémon Club?

Pokémon Club is a structured program within the Play! Pokémon ecosystem where Pokémon trainer can learn, play, and connect through the Pokémon Trading Card Game (TCG) and other activities designed for tweens. Pokémon Clubs aim to be inclusive and welcoming to all young players, regardless of their skill level or familiarity with Pokémon. Pokémon Club is not intended to be competitive. It will be a space exclusively for casual play and learning.

Snacks will be provided, please inform a staff member if there is a dietary concern. 

We will be teaching how to build your first Pokémon TCG deck. Please bring your Pokémon TCG cards for deck building and trading with others.
