DESCRIPTION:<div><p>Master Gardener Stephen Cantù presents Friendly Inclusive Gardening (FIG). In this presentation, Stephen discusses ways to make gardening more accessible to people with physical challenges, seniors with mobility issues, or anyone just looking to learn techniques to make their garden work for them. Stephen will also discuss how connecting with nature can boost your mental health and help you cultivate a peaceful and healing space.</p><p><b>Presenter Bio: </b>Stephen Cantù became a UCCE Master Gardener in 2008. He is a journeyman carpenter, a wheelchair athlete and a two-time Paralympian. In his 2-acre garden in Bonita, he maintains 35+ fruit trees interspersed with vegetables, raised beds and an extensive cactus garden.</p><p>Carlsbad City Library’s Grow Your Garden program lets you swap succulents, seeds, fruit, vegetables and herbs from your garden with your neighbors and learn new gardening techniques.</p></div><p>Grow Your Garden: 10 a.m. to noon</p><p>Workshops: 10:30 to 11:30 a.m.</p><p><strong>Official Sponsor:&nbsp;</strong>Carlsbad Community Gardens Collaborative</p><div></div>
