The newest exhibit at Cannon Art Gallery, called Breaking Glass Boundaries, opens on June 24 and runs through Sept. 2. 

Curated by Barrio Glassworks owner Mary Devlin, Breaking Glass Boundaries captures the magic of glassblowing and sculpture, offering a fusion where complex material is reimagined as swimming sea creatures, teardrops and even dramatic sentries.

Barrio Glassworks, founded in 2020, is a public glassblowing studio and retail gallery located in the historic Barrio community of the Carlsbad Village at 3060 Roosevelt St. Stop by for a unique experience with an open viewing section for the public, allowing an up-close look at the mesmerizing art of glassblowing. Pop Up Art activities will take place at the Cannon Gallery between noon and 2 p.m. on Saturday, July 1, July 22 or Aug. 12 where visitors can join in for a unique and free activity with one of the featured glass artists.
