The Cannon Art Gallery’s newest exhibition, Dual Visions, is opening Saturday, Sept. 30, and will be on display through Dec. 16.

Dual Visions features abstract works of art by artists Sijia Chen and Kelsey Overstreet in a variety of media. Each work of art reflects on the artist’s personal narrative, using color, line and pattern to create movement and juxtaposing organic shapes and textural elements.

Chen's works delve into personal identity, community and the convergence of diverse cultures. Overstreet’s work explores the human body, its inherent intelligence and its remarkable ability to process information.

Meet the artists and learn more about their work at an artist reception on Oct. 14. Enjoy light refreshments and live music by a San Diego wind ensemble, Left Coast Quintet.
