Before the first TGIF Concerts in the Parks performance on Friday, June 20, the City of Carlsbad announced the sponsors who helped bring the concerts to the community.

The concert sponsorship program, now in its second year, gives businesses and other organizations the opportunity to sponsor the event series. The city developed the program to generate revenue to help offset the cost of the concert series.

Opener sponsors
Carlsbad Charitable Foundation. The Carlsbad Charitable Foundation, an affiliate of the San Diego Foundation, has a mission to celebrate and invest in Carlsbad. They work to improve residents’ quality of life and meet emerging needs through responsible philanthropy, a community endowment, annual grantmaking and legacy planning.

Raymond James & Associates, Inc. Raymond James is a financial services firm based in Florida, with a regional office in Carlsbad. The company serves clients through approximately 8,800 financial advisors in the United States, Canada and overseas.

The Op Games (USAOPOLY). USAOPOLY is a Carlsbad-based business specializing in custom versions of familiar board games, including Monopoly. The company also produces licensed favorites like Clue, Munchkin, Trivial Pursuit, Codenames, along with original family, party, hobby games and puzzles.

Pop up art sponsor
The Carlsbad Library & Arts Foundation will sponsor pop up art activities before each concert, offering people of all ages opportunities to create their own art pieces or participate in fun hands-on activities. The foundation seeks, cultivates and provides financial support for Carlsbad’s library and cultural arts facilities and programs.

Raffle fundraiser
In addition, Carlsbad Friends of the Arts, a nonprofit group dedicated to making the arts an integral part of our community experience, will present a raffle fundraiser during the concerts.
