Carlsbad City Library now offers Stargazing Kits to make the outdoors more accessible and foster a deeper connection with astronomy, science and natural resources. Each kit contains:

• Celestron telescope and carrying case
• Portable stool
• Lensatic compass
• Dynamo flashlight
• Two field guides: Moon and Night Sky

Visit our catalog to place a hold on a kit or call the library at 442-339-2019. You will be notified when your kit is available for pickup at your selected branch location.

Each Stargazing Kit may be checked out for 10 days and is eligible for up to three automatic renewals as long as another patron is not waiting for the item. Please note that kits must be checked out by Carlsbad City Library cardholders ages 18+ with accounts in good standing; patrons will be required to sign a waiver at checkout.
