Summer Reading Adventure 2026 - June 1 - Aug. 1. 

Theme: "Plant a seed, read."  

Thank you for your interest in volunteering at the Carlsbad City Library this summer. Recruitment for the 2026 Summer Reading Adventure will begin on May 1. This opportunity is open to teens entering grades 7 through 12. The application period will remain open through May 18, or until the maximum capacity of 105 volunteers has been reached. In order to volunteer during the summer, teens must attend an in-person volunteer orientation.

The application period for the 2026 Summer Reading Adventure teen volunteering opportunity has now closed.
