Learning from Members

The Ups and Downs of Personal Papers presented by Jennifer Anklesaria.

Speaker will be virtual / Presentation will be recorded

Jennifer will cover what personal papers might include, where one might find them, the proper way to cite them and ideas to store/archive those in your possession. Concepts presented include examples of personal papers, a method to sort those currently overwhelming you (Stacy Julian’s blog on “Begin with That Box”), genealogical wills, ArchiveGrid, various archive types and the idea of “reunification” websites.

Learning from Members is a partnership program between Carlsbad City Library and the North San Diego County Genealogical Society (NSDCGS). Participants will learn about various genealogy topics and tips through these presentations offered by members of NSDCGS.

The program is held the second Tuesday of the month from January through November and is presented in person and virtually.

  • Doors open at 9:30 a.m. for social time.
  • Presentations, including question-and-answer sessions, are held from 10:00 to 11:30 a.m.
