Funds raised through book sales and events or donated through the Friends of the Carlsbad Library are in turn donated back to the Carlsbad City Library to support the following programs and activities:

• Children's annual Summer Reading Adventure
• Carlsbad Reads Together
• Year-round children's programs, books and materials
• Concerts at Cole library and the Library Learning Center
• Teen programs for grades seven through 12
• Purchase of audiobooks and multiple copies of bestsellers
• Pay for enhanced technology

Membership forms are available at the library and the Friends Bookstore, or can be downloaded. Completed forms may be returned to any Carlsbad City Library location or mailed to:

Responsibilities

• Raise money for library activities, programs and materials.
• Operate the Friends bookstores at the Dove and Cole libraries.
• Hold special sales at the Cole and Dove libraries.
• Publish the "Friends to Friends" newsletter, featuring library and Friends information.
