Library thankful for $100,000 donation

When George and Connie Krell had free time, they spent it at the Dove Library. They loved the facility so much that they decided to donate $100,000 so Carlsbad City Libraries could purchase new reading area furniture and large-print books.

Thanksgiving holiday schedule

City offices will be closed at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 27 and all-day Thursday and Friday, Nov. 28 & 29, in observance of Thanksgiving.

Last year, we received input from the community on the vision for the public art that will be featured in the center of a new traffic circle in the Barrio at Pine Avenue and Harding Street, one of the gateways into the Barrio.
